Create your own Workshop
I have found this to be the best way to get you what you want. When I set a schedule for you all with my ideas on dates and timing and what we will learn it is typically not as successful This is not some massive humming organization that offers rote workshops with rules about when wand wear and what you will learn. This is you and me teaming to make it happen in terms of when, what and how much.
Design your own day with your friends, or just start with one date that works for you with one or two and I can get the rest to come and make it happen. This is the best way to get a create day to happen, just start with a date that works and then email me: martina@martinadesigns.com. Scheduling is the only hard part, so over the years I have found letting YOU pick the date and creating theme works the best.

Creative Strength Workshop - You will learn and enjoy best practices on how and when and what to create and to make this part of your new always journey in giving yourself the gift or regular and enjoyable making.
Alcohol Ink and Marker Workshop - Alcohol ink is a very loose ,playful and forgiving medium. It has the joy looking qualities of soft, transparent watercolor without the often unforgiving technical challenges you need with watercolor. Learn how to use markers to give your flowy (yes a word!) alcohol ink creation some definition, detail and suggestion with markers.
Felt Flowers - Make forever always flowers to bring you and others happiness. Our flowers will be made by cutting a nd gkluing feklt and then adding realistic touches to them with pastels, we will use fixative to keep our creations forever blooming and send them home iwth you in a vase.
Watercolor Flowers- If you are a beginner, and expert or somewhere in between you are welcome and there is always something to learn and explore. You will learn about how to prepare your piece, what materials to use, and how to use all the tools. We will experiment with liquid watercolor, pan watercolor, watercolor pencils and crayons. You will also try salt, texturing materials and various surface applications.
Paint your own pottery and make your own jewelry - Paint your own Pottery and chose a bowl, mug or salad plate and learn techniques on how to paint and detail your pottery with stencils and designs. I have invited a guest ceramics instructor and potter that will guide you on making your own jewelry. Yay! She will then take your painted pottery and jewelry and fire them for us at her studio and get them back to me.
Fall Epoxy Pour Outside- Epoxy pouring is loose, messy, exhilarating with great results. This is an outside adventure in the barn studio.
Acrylic Pour Inside- Epoxy pouring is loose, messy, exhilarating with great results.We can do this Inside anytime of the year
Paint your own decorative planters-I have found great outdoor paint an tested it and we can design our own planters and fill them with herbs and/or plants to enjoy
Private Creating Lessons- Design your own learning and have one on one support, encouragement and instruction in drawing, painting, acrylic pours, printmaking, collage, watercolor, alcohol ink or clay hand building., or anything else, its all about you:) Connect with me directly.

Health Precautions
I am fully vaccinated and “boostered” and have multiple work tables for you to work on. I also am happy and supportive of asking us all to wear masks if any of you want that.
Cancellation Policy:
You must cancel a minimum of 5 days prior to the class start date in order to receive a refund.
I keep our group class size very small so that I can instruct and support you individually even though we are in a group setting. As you can well imagine, my workshops require a great deal of planning, including preparing and ordering supplies and tools,. Therefore to keep the costs reasonable, if you are unable to attend, I suggest you offer your spot to someone else to give them joy. If of course I cancel or reschedule due to weather, or changes in local health guidelines, or low enrollment ,I will issue you a full credit for another class and that is a forever credit :).
If you signed up for a series of classes please understand that you need to pay for the entire number of days regardless of your attendance. I commit to you and you commit to me, then we are a happy team.

Fees:
The cost of the workshop varies based on the number of people coming and the cost of the materials I need to purchase for that workshop. I do my best to make it affordable for you. Most workshops cost between $55- $85 for the day and includes all materials, snacks and drinks and instruction materials to take with you.

Creative Strength Workshop
This is the workshop on how to build regular scheduled creative habits into all your days.
This is a workshop is one I ran in Amsterdam and is a course that will give you personalized consistent creative coaching on how you can bring new positive habits into your day, combined with specific technical creative skills into your life of creating.
We will create a new dedicated creation sketchbook with goals and prompts as well as learn new ways of creating regularly and joyfully within your own schedule.
Materials that are included in your workshop fee:
8.5” x 11” Sketchbook and all materials to personalize and decorative it
Drawing pencils and erasers
5” x 7” or 8” x 10” Ampersand museum panel for your finished piece
Use of all Art Buffet materials to explore and use throughout; pastels, paint, alcohol ink, watercolors, mono printing, collage, India ink or anything else you can find! ;)

Felt flower Bouquet Workshop
Come and create your own forever bouquet of felt flowers.
You will learn and make a variety of flowers including sunflowers, daisies and poppies out of felt and floral supplies. Please note that this NOT needle felting.

Watercolor Flower creation Day
10-3
Create a finished 8” x 10” watercolor piece of tulips or sunflowers on cold press archival paper that you can then frame easily with a standard frame size.
Learn how to prepare your paper, transfer your image, mix and apply watercolors and explore and practice with various watercolor mediums including watercolor pencils, watercolor crayons and liquids to finish your creation before you leave.
You will make a standard size frame-able piece to take home.
